Park the Car in Harvard Yard (next to the bookstores of course)

My husband and I recently relocated to Boston for a short, couple of weeks stay until moving on to the next location.

We went to Cambridge, MA, where Harvard is located.  Not only is Harvard there, but they have lots of bookstores there as well.

Of course, what else would I take a picture of besides Harvard's main library? Beautiful, right?

Downstairs in the Used section of the Harvard Bookstore, the endcaps are all decorated with stuff people found inside the used books or book-related clips, many very funny!

Looooove the book F for Effort (about the "wrong" answers kids can give to test answers) and think this one is just amazing!

I mean, we had to eat, too! I can't live on books alone.

Sidewalk booksale money box - literally buy whatever book you want and then drop the money in the box! I donated but didn't take a book. Love this!!!

  1. Thanks for posting the photos. They brought back some great memories of wandering around Cambridge from when we lived up there. The COOP was a great place.

  2. My favorite memory of visiting that area was when we needed to stop for some coffee in a cafe heavily populated by Harvard students. We expected each table piled with textbooks with working students, but it was when a Harry Potter book was just released. What we actually found was all the students with their pile of work getting dusty as they devoured the latest HP! It was hysterical and charming.

  3. Man I wanna go to Boston! It looks amazing! And an outside bookstore run on the honor system – I can’t even imagine it. That would never fly in my area, I’m pretty sure that donation box would be stolen daily. Looks like such a fabulous place to visit!!!

  4. Oh you’ll need to go back and get Border Cafe (great Tex Mex/Creole) and then visit the Cambridge Public Library (it’s brand new and beautifully open). Not as fascinating as the Denver ones, but it’s still pretty awesome. (And I love Harvard Bookstore 🙂 )
