Book Club for November: Orange is the New Black

If you’re like me, you’ve been obsessed with Orange Is the New Black on Netflix.  And if you’re like me, you’ve seen the show first, but haven’t read the book. Orange is the New Black

So let’s do it.  Let’s read the book!

During the month of November, Allison @ The Book Wheel and I will be reading Orange Is the New Black with (hopefully) you!  We’re going to be discussing O is the New B on my blog, right here for the book club!

So grab a copy of the book from the library or from Amazon (only $9 for both physical and Kindle edition!), or from wherever you want to support!

Starting Sunday, November 3, we’ll read about 75 pages per week (and be finished BEFORE Thanksgiving!).

Are you going to join in?  Let me know in the comments!

  1. I don’t think that this is a book I would’ve looked twice at had it not been for enjoying the show. But I enjoyed it so much, like you, I want to read Piper’s own words and read the full story not just the “great for TV” parts! Now if I can just get the book before November…

  2. OK here is a girl who is pretty lost.
What is the show about? Jails? Prison break? Paris Hilton in prison? 😛
Tell me more to see if I want to read this one, please!

  3. I’ve not seen the show, but I just looked it up and now I’m really intrigued. I won’t be reading along because sadly books are not in my budget the next two weeks, but have fun!

  4. I was able to get the e-audiobook of Orange from the library so I’m in! I haven’t watched the show yet but have heard about it. The audiobook is entertaining so far and glad I could join in. BTW, Lean In just came in from the library too, so I’ll be catching up on your last book club pick and will comment after the fact…better late than never, I suppose! 🙂 Seemed like everyone really enjoyed Lean In and had much to gain from the reading.
