Piper Kerman (kind of) talked to me

Yesterday, with thanks to BookTrib, I participated in a video chat with Piper Kerman.  Yes, THE Piper Kerman, author of Orange is the New Black!

Orange is the New Black

The same Orange is the New Black that The Book Wheel & I read for our book club last month!

The video is worth watching (and if you watch around 17 min 20 seconds, MY question is answered!!!!).

Piper is intelligent, seems very down-to-earth and relatable.  She’s also very knowledgeable and cares a lot about helping people.

And I like this quote that she said:

“The choices you make in the world matter a lot . . . use your power for good.”

How can you use your power for good?
